Trash to Treasure...Cottage Chair

5 years ago I realized I needed a career change. I down sized my life as best as I could. I started a business redesigning, repurposing vintage, antiques and flea market treasures. Then Salvaged Sensations was born. I work part as a nurse and I'm growing the business. The on line counter part of Salvaged Sensations is Romance and Relics. Today trash to treasure is this redesigned vintage chair that was once sitting curb side. Very worn in it's other life, once I got it home and starting working on it I knew it would be a little accent chair for a porch. A little paint, ribbon, beads and flowers my "art" was coming together. The chair was missing the center of the seat. I had the hat from a previous adventure at the thrift store I think I paid $10.00 for it. I thought the hat belonged there on the chair. I glued it down added a few more flowers and the project was done. The trouble with the things I redesign I WANT THEM for myself once they are done. This chair didn't stay with me it did sell at my shop. I think the customer was pleased. Please visit Diane @http://diane1876.blogspot.com/ she is the host of this fun event. Thank you for stopping.

I love how you placed a hat in the seat instead of replacing it..very creative!

Marie, Your chair is so pretty, I never would have thought to put a hat on it. I have found and painted several chairs myself. Isn't it fun recreating something that was destined for the garbage? I feel satisfied that I kept something out of the refuse dump and made it usable again. I can see you enjoy it too!
I'm sure your buyer was very happy with it, and you were happy that it found a new home!
I hope your computer issues are all fixed.
