Ole Tac Box looks like a Circus Tent

Isn't it great turning an old vintage "whatever" into something pretty and functional? I guess this was an old tack box, serving the equestrian well. Now, we all know the thrill in junkin' is stimulating to the creative side of the brain. I was not so stimulated when I found this box. I thought about what it really could become all sparkling, pretty and new again. No luck but, I got it any way thinking something would inspire me. A few months went by before I got "it". Paint it with a hint of whimsy and use it as a planter, or a caddy for all the extras needed for bb-q'in. It reminds me of an ice cream parlor or a circus tent. The colors aren't that crisp in the pictures. The inside is a bright yellow, the stripes are a pale green and pink, with blue accents. Enjoy!! have a blessed day. Please visit Diane @ A Picture Is Worth a 1,000 Words there is a lot to see on her lovely blog.

What a beautiful job you did!
I am sure that you are happy that you got it even though you didn't immediately know how you would use it. There have been so many times that I have picked something up at the thrift store thinking "how can I use this?" and ended up putting it down because inspiration hadn't hit yet. I then go home and think about it - and realise what I COULD have done with that piece - only to go back for it and have it gone! So frustrating! Now if I remotely like something - it is coming home with me where I can stew about it until inspiration hits.

Great job - you definitely have an eye for things!
Blessings,
Kymber
